Lions Club of Mukono Host Welcomes District Governor During Official Visit

The Lions Club of Mukono Host officially welcomed the District Governor, LN Byarugaba Kikanu PMJF, during his official visit to the club on 15 August 2026. The visit brought together Lions, community members, school leaders, religious leaders, local leaders and other guests in a day dedicated to service, leadership, community development and fellowship.
Under the leadership of the Club President, LN Fortunate Nduwera, the Lions of Mukono Host organized a number of activities aimed at making a meaningful difference in the community.
10,000-Litre Water Tank Donation to Nakiwate Quran Primary School
One of the major highlights of the visit was the donation of a 10,000-litre water tank to Nakiwate Quran Primary School in Nakifuma.
The initiative was aimed at improving access to water for the school and surrounding community. The donation was warmly received by the school administration and community members, who expressed their appreciation for the Lions’ commitment to improving the lives of people in the community.
The Head Teacher, Madam Nanziri Zam, appreciated the Lions for their generosity and for demonstrating the true spirit of service through a project addressing an important community need.
The project reflected the Lions’ belief that water is life and that sustainable community service can have a lasting impact on families, schools and communities.
Environmental Conservation Activities
As part of the day’s service activities, the Lions also participated in environmental conservation initiatives, including tree planting and creating awareness about the importance of protecting the environment.

Induction of New Lions
Another important highlight of the official visit was the induction of three new Lions into the Lions Club of Mukono Host.
The new members inducted into the club were:

- Lion Nassali Rebecca
The induction was officiated by District Governor LN Byarugaba Kikanu PMJF, marking an important moment for both the new members and the club.
