MUkono Lions Club Formation

OUR History

The Lions Club of Mukono Host was established in June 2020, thanks to the visionary efforts of the late LN Yesse Mubangizi. His guidance was instrumental in shaping the club’s trajectory, ensuring it met both local and global objectives in alignment with Lions Clubs International’s mission.
The leadership structure in the early days of the club was crucial to its development. LN Jonathan Ntulume served as the first and charter president, providing direction and stability during the club’s formative period. LN Stephen Walamgaire, the first club treasurer, managed the financial aspects with diligence, while LN Mark Galeba took on the role of the first club secretary, ensuring smooth communication and administrative efficiency.
Since its inception, the Lions Club of Mukono Host has experienced substantial growth. The club has remained dedicated to fulfilling the goals established by Lions Clubs International, working tirelessly on various projects and initiatives to make a positive impact both locally and globally.
The Lions Club of Mukono Host was established with several key objectives in mind, reflecting the core values and mission of Lions Clubs International. These objectives include:
Community Service and Development: To address and support the needs of the local Mukono community by implementing projects that improve quality of life, promote social welfare, and address urgent needs such as health care, education, and poverty alleviation.
